Before you submit an abstract and commit to presenting at ISA Automation Week 2013, please read all content listed below.

General author/speaker responsibilities

Each Author who submits an abstract to present a paper is responsible for:

• Reading the information and following the instructions within the Author's Kit throughout every step of their submission
• Submitting their abstract and paper directly through the paper management system
• Ensuring that ALL required information, all submissions and conference registration are completed and submitted by posted deadlines
• Making sure that the co-authors are properly added to submission
• Contacting ISA staff immediately if there is a problem with the submission or paper management system account
• Contacting ISA staff immediately with any questions or concerns

What to submit

• Abstract (your abstract acts as your paper description so it is important to be as descriptive as possible)
• Biography
• Contact Information
• Signed Rights and Responsibilities (copyright transfer) form to be submitted along with abstract.

Presentation formats

Abstracts for consideration to present are currently accepted for the following categories and formats:

Technical Session—30 to 90 minutes

Technical sessions consist of three 30-minute paper sessions, or one panel session or one tutorial session. Several presentation formats are available for you to choose from. To achieve the highest quality of technical programming, paper presentations will take priority over other formats. Papers will be peer reviewed.

Paper Session—30 minutes
Panel Session—90 minutes
Tutorial Session—90 minutes

Poster Session—90 minutes

Poster sessions are generally the presentation of research information with an academic, technical or professional focus. Authors are available to interact with interested attendees, answer questions and discuss the material presented. Material for poster sessions and the posters themselves are peer reviewed, and will become part of the proceedings.

Submission Information

To submit an abstract, go to the Paper Management System and follow the instructions.

Co-authors

If there are co-authors for your abstract/paper, the following information must be submitted:

• Co-author's name
• Co-author's title (if applicable)
• Co-author's company (if applicable)
• Also indicate who will actually be presenting your content onsite.

Registration

There is no fee to present a paper at ISA Automation Week 2013. You are required to register and then you will be issued a conference pass for the day(s) you are scheduled to present. A discounted rate for additional conference days will be available. To confirm program participation, presenters must register by 16 September 2013. If you are the author but will not be presenting the paper, it is your responsibility to find a presenter for your paper, and notify ISA in a timely manner.

Biography

Your biography will be displayed on the ISA Automation Week 2013 website along with your abstract (paper description). Your brief biography and contact information must be submitted along with your abstract.

Rights and Responsibilities

To ensure the integrity and quality of the ISA Automation Week 2013 technical program, a Rights and Responsibilities form (copyright transfer) must be filled out by all authors no later than 5 May 2013 in order to present at ISA Automation Week. Attendees at ISA Automation Week are entitled to receive a copy of the paper proceedings. Copyright transfer is optional but the form is required to be completed and signed. It is due at the time of abstract submittal.
