Automation Career Connections

Automation Career Connections is a series of events designed to offer a multitude of activities related to careers in automation to high school students, college students, and young automation professionals. The goals of these events are to open students’ eyes to the many automation career choices available to them and to ensure the growth of the next generation of automation professionals.
Automation Career Day
This is a mini career fair for Mobile, Alabama area high school students featuring 30+ educational and industry displays. Keynote speaker, Calum Pearson, vice president of technical and show support for the resident show division of Cirque du Soleil, will explore the science and technology behind the magic and drama of Cirque du Soleil.

This year’s event includes an essay contest designed to introduce high school students to the concept of automation and the many related career opportunities. This program will emphasize the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) to their future careers.
ISA YAPFEST 2011
5:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m.
Celebrate the future of the automation profession by networking with young automation professionals (YAPs) and college students interested in careers in automation—during the Mardi Gras Reception—Celebrating FIRST®. We encourage you to interact with the next generation of automation professionals, throughout the evening, and to share your positive experiences about being part of a professional society like ISA.
